The meeting was called to order Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at 6:34 pm at the Texas Chenier Plains Complex Office in Anahuac, TX
Present: David Sarkozi, Travis Lovelace, Jerry Milsaps, Carolyn Harris, Tommie Harris, Tami Schuter, Matt Jackson, Steve Baker, John Stevens, Jimmy Laurent, John Kemp, Stephanie Martinez, and Tim Cooper.
The minutes for the November 2011 Board Meeting the were presented. Carolyn Harris motioned that the minutes be approved. The motion passed.
The minutes for the September 2011 Board Meeting were presented. Carolyn Harris motioned that minutes approved. The motion passed.
The November 2011 Treasurer's Report was presented. David Sarkozi moved the the report be approved. The motion passed.
The budget for presented. Tommie Harris motioned the budget be approved. The motion passed.
Refuge Report
- $400 plus dollars made for the friends from scape metal sales.
- Waterfowl season reopens Saturday, December 10, 2011, big turnout is expected.
- Paving project completion date is targeted for January 17, 2012
- VIS project is going to court. If there is no settlement then it will go to court in May 2012.
- There was a prairie project planting on the Le Conte's Prairie. Left over seed was planted on the demonstration prairie by the butterfly garden.
Old Business
Got a photo presenting the check to the library
There is still close to $4,000 still to be spent from donations for the adopt a tree grant program.
Will get a game camera from the Stiles grant not to exceed $200 as a test to see how it works.
New Business
Travis Lovelace appointed John Kemp as a new board member at large. The board gave its approval.
Kay Travis will be printing T-shirts for the volunteer for a day program. The design was presented the board.
David Sarkozi moved that the meeting be adjourned at 8:00 pm the motion passed.
