From Houston or Baytown

Take Exit 812, SH61, three miles east of the Trinity River. Travel south to FM562. Continue straight (south) on to FM562 to FM1985. Turn left (east) on FM1985. Travel about 3 miles to the entrance road to Anahuac National Wildlife Refuge. Turn right (south) and travel about three miles to the Visitor Information Station

From Beaumont

Take Exit 829 in Winnie and travel south on SH124 about ten miles to FM1985. Turn right (west) and travel about ten miles to the entrance road to Anahuac National Wildlife Refuge. Turn right (south) and travel about three miles to the Visitor Information Station
