Administration
Help maintain membership data base (knowledge of Excel or Access helpful)
Publicize FOAR in the media
Assist with developing and distributing newsletter
Maintain history of organization
Assist with updating website (non-technical)
Assist in accounting functions (knowledge of Excel or Quick Books helpful)
Assist with Adopt-a-Tree fund raising
Write a grant
Operations
Operate Gift Shop and Visitor Information Station
Maintain Volunteer Community Building
Maintain canteens at shop, office & check station
Participate in Nature Store Committee & managing Nature Store
Help from home – new FOAR flyer, design logo for Expo T-shirts, write articles about the Refuge (plants, animals, restoration projects, etc.)
Environmental Education
Assist in teaching basic environmental subjects to elementary school students
Arrange for public environmental education programs
Assist in Reading Program
Special Events
Assist in arranging for annual membership meeting
Assist refuge staff during Fishing Day, Marsh Madness, Wildlife Expo!
Assist in preparing and staffing FOAR booth at Gator Fest, Feather Fest
Assist in serving chili to hunters
Help decorate Christmas parade float
Outdoor Projects
Participate in habitat restoration, invasive exotic species eradication
Participate in maintaining butterfly garden
Help with building projects
Aid in plant identification
Assist in native plant propagation from seed
Participate in tree plantings, grass plantings, and cleanup days
